From Cars and Paintbrushes to Supercharged Artworks

Supercharged Artworks didn't start with a business plan. It started with a lifelong love of cars, art and technology.

I've always been fascinated by cars – particularly exotic, fast and customised cars – and I've also loved drawing and painting since childhood. Over the years, those two interests have increasingly come together to create what is now Supercharged Artworks.

A lifelong passion for cars

I've been fortunate enough to own a varied selection of cars over the years. My first great car was a Toyota MR2 Mk2, followed by a Corvette C3, a Corvette C5 which I personally imported from the USA, an MGF, a 'sit-up-and-beg' Ford Popular E93A, another Corvette C5 and, today, a beautiful Mercedes SL350.

My first Corvette also led me into another important part of my automotive journey. I became actively involved with the national Classic Corvette Club UK, spending several years as a regional representative, two years editing the club magazine and a further two years as national club chairman.

That experience gave me a real appreciation of the passion that enthusiasts have for their cars – and for the stories, memories and personalities behind them.

Art has always been part of my life

I've loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. More recently, I began trying to paint pictures of iconic cars myself. While I enjoyed the process, I wasn't achieving the results I had in my head.

That led me to explore something completely different: the rapidly developing world of AI-assisted image creation.

Rather than replacing the creative process, I found that these new tools could help me realise ideas that I had previously struggled to put onto canvas. I began experimenting, learning how to develop the images I wanted and, importantly, how to turn digital artwork into high-resolution images suitable for professional printing.

Where IT meets art

For most of my career I worked in IT, in a variety of roles and environments, latterly working in security for Lloyds Bank. I've been using PCs extensively since the mid-1990s, so technology has always been a familiar part of my life.

After retiring, I started looking at how the latest online and AI tools could help me develop my long-standing interests in cars and art.

During spring 2026, I spent a considerable amount of time researching and experimenting with different tools for creating the artwork itself, improving image resolution and preparing digital artwork for physical printing.

From an idea to Supercharged Artworks

Once I realised just how good the results could be, the next question was simple: could I turn this into something other people would enjoy too?

I began researching the world of online retail, eventually bringing together the tools needed to create the artwork, produce high-resolution files, sell them through an online store and have them professionally printed and fulfilled for customers around the world.

In spring 2026, I developed my workflow using five different AI-backed products and services. Then, in early July, Supercharged Artworks was officially launched in the UK.

And that's just the beginning...

Supercharged Artworks continues to develop. Alongside an extensive gallery covering iconic motorsport cars, supercars, sports cars, classic automobiles, custom cars and hot rods, trucks and motorcycles, I'm increasingly focusing on something particularly exciting: bespoke automotive artwork.

The idea is simple. Instead of choosing a car from a gallery, you can have artwork created around your own cherished vehicle, incorporating details that make it uniquely yours.

It might be the exact make and model, the colour, registration, wheels or other personal details. We can also create artwork around a particular setting, atmosphere or idea.

For me, this brings together everything that has interested me throughout my life – cars, art, creativity and technology.

And perhaps that's what makes Supercharged Artworks different. It's not simply about putting pictures of cars on walls. It's about taking something you're passionate about and turning it into a piece of art.
